Kim Branscome Serves as Faculty on Pre-Trial Issues Course as Part of Duke Law Mass Tort MDL Certificate Program

Litigation partner Kim Branscome served as faculty on the Duke Law School Bolch Judicial Institute’s Pre-Trial Issues course module as part of the Duke Law Certificate in Mass Tort MDL program. Kim’s module covered key pre-trial issues for multidistrict litigation that have prompted a proposed rule change to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.

The certificate program is a recommended pre-requisite for Duke Law’s annual McGovern Symposium on Civil Litigation, which will be held at the university on December 12. This year’s symposium focuses on an emerging trend of courts being asked to resolve public policy issues that have traditionally been the subject of legislative and executive action due to their scale and complexity.
