International Financial Law Review (IFLR) shortlisted Paul, Weiss for five recognitions in its 2025 Europe Awards. The firm is a finalist for “Private Equity Team of the Year” and four “Deals of the Year”: in the High Yield category for advising Fedrigoni on the issuance of €430 million of senior secured notes due 2031 and €300 million senior holdco pay-if-you-can toggle notes due 2029, led by corporate partners Matt Merkle and Nicolò Ascione; the Private Equity category for advising funds and affiliates managed by Apollo on their joint venture with Intel Corporation related to Intel’s Fab 34 semiconductor wafer manufacturing facility in Ireland, led by corporate partners Ravi Purohit, Ross Fieldston and Greg Ezring; the Private Equity category for advising General Atlantic on its acquisition of Actis, creating a diversified global investment platform with approximately $97 billion in combined assets under management, led by corporate partners Matt Abbott, Cullen Sinclair and Conrad van Loggereneberg; and the Private Equity category for advising KPS Capital Partners on its acquisition, via a newly formed affiliate, of Innomotics GmbH from Siemens AG for an enterprise value of €3.5 billion, led by London-based corporate partners Neel Sachdev, Will Aitken-Davies, Matt Merkle and Rohan Dey, alongside New York-based partners Angelo Bonvino and Cullen Sinclair.
The annual awards recognize the most innovative cross-border transactions from across Europe, and the lawyers and law firms behind them. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on April 3.
