Of counsel in the Bankruptcy and Litigation Departments, Robert L. Laufer has extensive experience in a broad range of bankruptcy-related matters, including corporate reorganizations, insolvency proceedings involving banks and insurance companies, out-of-court workouts and other matters pertaining to financially distressed companies and the rights of creditors. He is also an experienced trial lawyer, having practiced in various state and federal courts, including several bankruptcy courts.

Mr. Laufer has served as a member of the Committee on Bankruptcy and Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Reorganization of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and was the vice president, legal at the New York Road Runners, the organizer of the ING New York City Marathon, from 1999-2014.

Mr. Laufer served as an editor of the Columbia Law Review and was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.
