Lisa Danzig is a counsel in the Litigation Department and a member of the Antitrust Practice group. She provides comprehensive antitrust advice on litigation, investigations and merger review. She has extensive experience in representing multinational corporations and private equity firms in complex litigations and transactions across various industries, such as financial services, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals and manufacturing.

Lisa’s notable experiences include:

  • Funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management in its $6.3 billion acquisition of International Game Technology’s gaming and digital business IGT Gaming and Everi Holdings, a Nevada-based supplier of technology solutions for casinos.
  • The Coca-Cola Company in numerous transactions.
  • Deutsche Post’s DHL Global Forwarding Business in defending against a purported class action (now settled) alleging a conspiracy to fix surcharges and fees in the freight forwarding industry.
  • Family Dollar in its $9.3 billion acquisition by Dollar Tree and its rejection of Dollar General’s hostile tender offer on antitrust grounds.
  • Keurig Green Mountain in multiparty monopolization litigation in the Southern District of New York as well as Keurig’s pursuit of counterclaims against a competitor alleging violation of the Lanham Act and various state laws for unfair competition through false and misleading advertising or promotion.
  • A major financial institution in global investigations into FX trading.
  • Mallinckrodt in connection with FTC monopolization investigation involving the acquisition of an alleged nascent competitor.
  • Mastercard in defense of multiple class actions and cases brought by individual litigants involving claims relating to merchant acceptance rules and the establishment of payment card interchange rates.
  • Meda AB in its $9.9 billion acquisition by Mylan.
  • NSK in numerous class action price-fixing cases in Michigan relating to the automotive parts industry.
  • Stanley Black & Decker in its $690 million acquisition of International Equipment Solutions Attachments Group.
  • Whirlpool Corporation in the sale of its Embraco refrigeration compressors business to Nidec Corporation for $1.08 billion.
Professional Affiliations

Lisa is an active member of the ABA Antitrust Section. She currently serves as a Co-Chair of the Section’s Long Range Planning Committee. She previously served as Vice Chair of the Section’s Spring Meeting, as Vice Chair of its Masters Course, as a member of the Presidential Transition Report team, and as Counsel to the Section Chair, among other roles.
