Simona (Shimeng) Xu is an associate in the Litigation Department. A native Chinese Mandarin speaker, Simona spent her formative years in Singapore before moving to the United States and excels at helping clients from foreign jurisdictions navigate the U.S. legal system.

Simona is a versatile litigator and represents both domestic and international clients across a wide range of industries, including internet services, social media, telecommunications, fashion and cosmetics, financial institutions, energy and aviation. Simona鈥檚 practice includes a mix of commercial litigation and arbitration matters, regulatory defense, internal investigations, and compliance advisory work. She has handled cross-border commercial litigations, international arbitrations, intellectual property litigations, bankruptcy litigations, M&A litigations, and mass torts. With a passion for technology, Simona regularly advises clients on cutting-edge AI issues related to intellectual property and privacy.

Simona maintains an active pro bono practice, representing artists in intellectual property disputes, refugees in immigration matters, and tenants in housing disputes. During law school, she interned for the Hon. Kiyo A. Matsumoto of the Eastern District of New York.
