An associate in the Litigation Department, Cole has experience litigating a wide range of matters involving cybersecurity and data privacy issues and high-stakes commercial disputes, and has represented numerous public and private companies in internal and regulatory investigations. His work also includes counseling companies on litigation and regulatory risks related to new products or services, and preparing for and navigating security breaches. Cole maintains an active pro bono practice advising nonprofits on data governance, privacy and cybersecurity issues; defending criminal prosecutions in federal court and representing refugees and stateless individuals in immigration proceedings.
Cole currently serves on the Leadership Development Committee of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers – Northern California chapter. He has spoken about privacy and cybersecurity issues at the Sedona Conference.
