Firm Chairman Brad Karp and litigation partner Susanna Buergel participated in the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association’s (SIFMA) 2024 Compliance & Legal Seminar. The annual conference is the preeminent meeting place for compliance and legal professionals from across the financial services industry.
Brad spoke on “Civil Litigation Developments: Securities Class Actions & Other Significant Litigation Cases,” discussing developments in aiding-and-abetting liability, the impact of ESG enforcement efforts on the litigation front, developments in Delaware, predictions in the AI landscape and other topics. Susanna spoke on “Litigation Developments Concerning Collusions, Manipulation & the False Claims Act,” discussing antitrust developments, defense strategies, regulatory enforcement and other topics.
The conference took place on March 17-20 in Orlando, Florida.
